Exchange currency before you go or use an ATM upon arrival: While credit cards are accepted in many places, it's always good to have some Euros on hand for smaller purchases, tips, and local markets. ATMs are readily available, but check with your bank about international transaction fees.
Inform your bank and cell phone provider of your travel dates: This will prevent your cards from being blocked due to suspicious activity and allow you to use your phone internationally (check your international roaming plan or consider a local SIM card).
Passport & Visas: YES you will need a passport to travel to Greece that is NOT expiring within 6 months…don’t pull an Andres. You do not need a Visa to enter into Greece. If you plan to visit other countries please check those countries requirements too.
